First of all, kudos to my Primus Classmates for their very well-done digital presentation. All of us were asked to make a video presentation and I know firsthand how difficult and time consuming it is.

In the session, we discussed the two topics, first, is the Influential Digital Subcultures that are three (3) keys in the digital economy. Another is Redefining Marketing in the Digital Economy. Whereas, I find the session very fruitful as I gain new knowledge and insights.

In the Influential Digital Subcultures, I learned that these three key subcultures are the youth, women, and netizen. Youth are considered, early adopters, trendsetters, and game changers. Thus, it is important to get their interest especially when promoting a product. On the other hand, women are considered as information collectors, holistic shoppers and more often than not, manages the household needs. It is crucial for marketers to tap into women in order to grow their market shares. Lastly are the netizens, are considered social connector, expressive evangelist, and content contributors. Thus, it is important for Marketers to emotionally connect to netizens.

As for Redefining Marketing in the Digital Economy, I learned that both traditional and digital marketing coexists together. Whereas, traditional marketing is crucial in building product awareness and interests, especially in the initial stages. On the other hand, digital marketing is very effective in expanding the reach of the product and promoting it.
